COVID-19 Class Procedures
• Only ONE person per dog. No extra friends/family may attend.
• All participants must be 18 or older.
• Facial coverings are recommended but are not required.
• There will be designated classes where MASKS WILL BE REQUIRE.
(classes are listed on the application)
• Sanitization of chairs, door knobs, and equipment will be done between classes.

Read below for specific info on each class and what day/time they are offered. 
All classes meet once a week for one hour.

Pre-K9 - Class meets Saturday @ 11:30am


Specially designed for puppies of any breed or mix, between 8-14wks, to desensitize and socialize. Two MAJOR key factors in having a happy, confident, companion for life. The class WILL NOT teach any commands but instead will focus on factors, such as new sights, sounds, and distractions each week, along with education for the owner. 

The class will be set up as a 4 week rolling class, which will allow you and your puppy to start at any time. There is no waiting until a new session starts! You will be able to sign up for 4wks or just pay for the weeks that work in your schedule and you will receive a credit toward Puppy Kindergarten.


Full 4-wk rotation: $95

($30 credit will go toward Puppy Kindergarten)

Drop in per week: $25

($5 credit per week will go toward Puppy Kindergarten)


Puppy Kindergarten - For owners and their puppies of any breed or mix, age 8 weeks to 6 months. This course starts a strong base for obedience and socialization. Kindergarten exposes the puppy to other friendly puppies during playtime, people, environmental distractions, and textures, which is an essential key component in their development, creating a socially self-confident, well-behaved puppy.... Not a shy, nervous one. 

You may pick 4 weeks or 8 weeks of training for your puppy. Here is a break down on what you and your puppy will learn through positive reinforcement:

1st 4wks of class for puppy (& owner)

• socialization 

• basic puppy commands

• body handling

• controlled playtime

• walking calmly on a lead

2nd 4wks of class for puppy (& owner)

• continue to improve on 1st 4-wks of class 

• learn additional commands 

• doorway behavior

• nose work and games

• increase confidence by introducing obstacles such as a tunnel, ramp and walking on a board.

Additional tools we will teach the owner over 8wks.

• importance of puppy massage

• body language

• breed education

• potty training schedules

• proper grooming (nails, coat, teeth)

• puppy proofing

• address natural puppy behaviors

Question and answer time is available to discuss individual behavior issues, nutrition, grooming and responsible pet ownership during each class.

An AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy certificate can be earned when you and your puppy attend an 8 week training class. All dogs are welcome to participate in the program including purebreds and mixed breeds. 

8 weeks = $195

Senior (over 60) or Junior Handler (age 10-17) $185

4 weeks = $100

Family Dog - For owners and their dog(s) of any breed or mix, age 5 months or older. Whether you are coming out of puppy class, want to get into therapy work, or just simply want a well-behaved dog, this class is a good place to start getting down to basics!  We will help you learn about your dog’s breed characteristics, and guide you to better understand and communicate with your dog. This beginner obedience class will cover obedience commands, expose your dog to other dogs in a controlled environment, along with exposure to different noises, objects, and distractions. Some fun agility work and trick dog commands will also be taught, allowing this to be fun bonding, not just all work!

You may pick 4 weeks or 8 weeks of training for your dog. Here is a break down on what you and your dog will learn through positive reinforcement:

1st 4wks of class for dog (& owner)

• basic obedience commands

• body handling

• controlled walking on a leash

• begin doorway behavior

2nd 4wks of class for dog (& owner)

• proofing commands and add distance/time 

• add in hand signals 

• proof doorway behavior

• household manners

• introduce agility for confidence building and novice trick dog work.

• practice for Canine Good Citizen (CGC)

Additional tools we will teach the owner over 8wks.

If you are struggling with barking, chewing, potty issues, separation anxiety, aggression toward you, etc., time will be available to discuss individual behavior issues during each class.  

The AKC Canine Good Citizen certificate title testing (open to all dogs, not just purebreds) is offered at the end of Family Dog.  Passing 10 exercises qualify your dog as a canine good citizen:  accept a friendly stranger, sit politely for petting, appearance and grooming, walk on a loose leash, walk through a crowd, Sit and Down on command/ Stay in place, coming when called, reaction to another dog, reaction to distractions, and supervised separation.

Novice Trick Dog title is also available at the end of the 8 week class. We will teach some tricks in class, and you can work on others at home. Your dog can earn this certificate title if they perform10 skills from the Novice list. If a dog has a Canine Good Citizen (CGC) certificate or title on record at AKC, it can do 5 Novice tricks to earn the Novice title.

Continued Education 

**Must be a graduate of our Family Dog class OR have a CGC title for your dog to take the following classes. We DO offer CGC (Canine Good Citizen) testing.

Community Dog - Class meets Wednesday @ 6:00pm. This intermediate training class is designed for those with a foundation of basic manners. We will work on fine tuning previous commands, improving responsiveness to cues, while also adding in new skills necessary for success in a community environment. You will work on common distractions seen in public, meeting strangers, walking through crowds, and more.  Some classes may be out in a public setting giving you real life training for real situations.

At the end of this class you will have the chance to test for your AKC Community - Canine Good Citizen Advanced title and/or Trick Dog Intermediate title. 


Advanced/Top Dog -  Wed @ 7:15pm

This class reinforces the obedience skills learned in prior classes. This class will also teach extra skills to earn AKC Titles, such as Urban Canine Good Citizen and Trick Dog Advanced.


Therapy Dog –  Wed @ 7:15pm 

Must be CGC certified.

*Due to low attendance, this class may be combined with Advanced Top Dog. If you are interested, please call.

This class will be focusing on advanced obedience training, learning how to deal with different situations, and given the chance to go out and work in public settings. The goal of this class is to help you and your dog get prepared for the test to become a registered Therapy Dog. 

**Dog must be at least 1 year old before they can test. We do not offer testing, but we have local evaluators that we can put you in contact with.**


Rally - Class meets Thurs @ 6pm.

A fun and different way to practice obedience skills or earn titles with your purebred or mixed breed. 


Agility – Class meets Thurs at 7:15pm. 

Is a fun way to exercise your active dog or prepare you and your dog (purebred or mixed) for competition titles. 

The high physical demands of Agility require both owner and dog be in good health.
