Mouse came to us as a stray kitten in the spring of 2012. He preforms many duties such as greeter and special guest at classes during the day and watch cat by night. He enjoys helping in the office with the phone and making copies. He favorite activity is napping on a high perch.
Marcy Kraner
Born and raised on a dairy farm in west-central Allen county, animals has always been a part of my life. My first job was as kennel help at a veterinarian in Van Wert. I attended Columbus State Community College and received an associate degree in animal health. I gained valuable experience at 2 area veterinarians and the Humane Society of Allen County as a Veterinary Technician before venturing into grooming in 1993. As a self-taught groomer, I am still learning every day from the dogs, cats and their owners that I get the opportunity to meet.
Since 2004 years I have been sharing my love and knowledge for animals with the youth of Putnam County through 4-H and as head advisor for the dog club. The rabbit and poultry barn has become my home away from home during the fair.
Home is shared with 7 soft coated wheaten terriers, a cat, multiple show rabbits, two kids and a husband. We enjoy taking the dogs with us to sporting events, boating and camping.
Laurie Inskeep
I started Grooming in 1997 and opened my own grooming shop in 1999 in San Antonio, Texas. As well as grooming at my shop, I also assisted in training, and boarding for a friends business. After moving back to Ohio in 2010, I worked at a veterinary clinic in Hilliard, Ohio (a suburb of Columbus). After deciding to move back to my hometown of Lima, Ohio, I was happy to accept a grooming job for That Place For Pets. Looking forward to many happy years more of grooming and loving dogs!
Kathy Neil-Magers
I began training dogs for obedience competition when I was a teacher in a remote ranching community in Wyoming in the early 90’s. I happened to walk by an obedience ring at a show, and was immediately hooked. I began taking private lessons with my collies, and with the help of a great trainer, was able to rank them in the top 10 in the country. I have been a member of the Collie Club of America since 1994, and am currently a member of the Columbus Collie Club.
My husband and I raise and compete with our RoseHaeven collies in conformation, rally, obedience, and herding. I enjoy sharing what I’ve learned about dog training over the years with other people who enjoy developing working relationships with their dogs.
JoEllen Gellart
I became involved with dog training when I brought my toy poodle, Dot to Hollowell Academy of Dog Training for basic obedience class. That class led to another and another and another! That was more than 13 years ago and I have now shown dogs to titles in Obedience, Rally Obedience, Agility and even Freestyle Dance!
I assist or teach Puppy Kindergarten, Basic Obedience, Canine Good Citizen, Flyball, Agility for Fun and Advanced Agility. It is always interesting to meet all sorts of dogs-and their interesting owners as well!
I am a 4-H advisor for the Paws and Pals Dog Club and 2012 will be my fifth year working with the kids. I have been an advisor for the Classic Showmen Horse Club for 22 years. Obviously, I enjoy working with young people and their animals!
In what little spare time I have, I enjoy reading and doing counted cross stich ornaments for my nieces and nephew

Dogs are my passion! I love to work with owners and their fur kids and see the changes in both of them. It is an amazing transformation that takes place in as little as a few short weeks. Learning from 4-H to assisting other obedience instructors as well as having many foster dogs through my home I have learned so much about the behavior of our four legged friends. If I fail to help an owner and his dog, then I fail myself and that is just not acceptable. However, with that being said the owner has to do the work. 30 years working with dogs in all kinds of situations has helped me immensely. I teamed up with Marcy and That Place For Pets and I absolutely love it. With Marcy’s blessings I also have my own private Dog Training business for problems that need solved in the home only. I myself, have six dogs; Greyhound mix, Boxers, Australian Shepherd, Great Pyrenees, and a Miniature Pinscher.

I started training 11years ago, as a dog lover when I brought in my pet Gillian a rescue for training. Once I experienced obedience training I just couldn't stop. I loved working with my dog and assisting other owners so much I decided to become a trainer. I spent several years in education of training; taking classes, working with rescues and under the guidance of the experienced staff at That Place for pets I can now say I am a successful trainer. Over this time I have learned that every dog can and should be trained. With loving owners that invest their time and effort, there is no limit to our four legged family members' abilities. I even found a great passion in working with "disabled" pets. At home, I have; along with two other rescues, a deaf dog that has succeeded in all his training. This has taught me that even in our pets, a disability does not limit their potential to learn! All my personal family pets have gone through several accredited levels of learning and obedience training. I look forward to conditioning, teaching, and sharing all my knowledge and experience with you and your newest family member.

I have loved dogs since I was a little girl, much to my mom's dismay I would walk up and pet any dog thinking since I loved them, surely they would all love me. (Including a Police Dog siting on a motorcycle whose handler was momentarily distracted and did not see me approach the dog.) We could not have dogs, so I often walked the neighbors dog while carrying my cat. When I was on my own my first dog was a stray German Shepherd. My first puppy was also a Shepherd who was titled in A.K.C., U.K.C. and Worldwide obedience, receiving a perfect score. I now have 2 Danes, a Mastiff and a Shepherd. 3 cats and 2 big birds. I like to feed all the outside critters. I have seen birds, squirrels, chipmunks, rabbits, raccoons and possum eating my outdoor goodies. I had my own dog retail business selling at dog matches and trials. I find it relaxing to spend time training my dogs, and I love to compete with them. I like to enter dog contests, go on fundraisers for animal causes, and spend fun time doing things the dogs enjoy. I like to read, watch movies, play games, and look for that $500 item for a dollar at thrift stores. I like to share my dogs with others, 2 of them are registered Therapy Dogs. They are all taste testers for my home baked dog and cat treats.
