Puppy Kindergarten

For owners and their puppies, age 8 weeks to 6 months.
This course starts a strong base for obedience. 

The class runs for one hour, and you meet once a week.
Pick Tues @ 6pm, Wed @ 6pm, Thurs @ 9am, or Sat @ 9am.

Family Dog

Open to any dog, 5 months and older on their way to being a Top Dog. Your dog will cover everything from properly walking on a leash to properly greeting visitors. 

This class runs for one hour, and you meet once a week. 
Pick Tues @ 7pm, Wed @ 7pm, Thurs @ 10am, or Sat @ 10am.

Master Skills

You must be a graduate of Family Dog in order to participate in any of the Master Skills classes. Most routines are preformed off leash; social and obedience skills required.

• Advanced Dog meets Monday @ 6p
• Top Dog meets Monday @ 7pm
• Rally meets Thursday @ 6pm
• Agility meets Thursday @ 7:30pm

Puppy Kindergarten - For owners and their puppies, age 8 weeks to 6 months, this course starts a strong base for obedience.  Kindergarten exposes the puppy to other friendly puppies and people during playtime.

Through positive reinforcement the puppies will learn body handling, name recognition, walking calmly on a lead, commands sit, down, stand, stay, off and come. 

To increase their confidence they are introduced to obstacles such as a tunnel, ramp and walking on a board.

You will get to meet with a groomer to learn basic grooming, toe nail trimming and teeth brushing.

Question and answer time is available to discuss behavior, nutrition, grooming and responsible pet ownership during each class.


An  AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy certificate can be earned when you and your puppy attend a 6 week training class and you show responsible dog ownership.


Diploma- 8 weeks  $152 

Senior Discount  or Youth Handler (age 10-17) $ 137


Certificate - 4 weeks $84

Can continue with the last 4 weeks for an additional $84.00

Family Dog- Open to any dog, 5 months and older, and their owners on their way to being a Top Dog.

You will learn to train your dog to walk properly on a leash, recognize their name, sit, and stay, down, stand and come.  You will teach your dog household manners: off, wait, go to place, leave it, drop it, and how to greet visitors. 

 You will meet with a groomer to learn basic grooming, toe nail trimming and teeth brushing. 

You are encouraged to learn about your dog’s breed characteristics and discuss behavior, nutrition, grooming and responsible pet ownership.


The AKC Canine Good Citizen certificate or title testing (open to all dogs, not just purebreds) is offered at the end of Family Dog classes.  Passing 10 exercises qualify your dog as a canine good citizen:  accept a friendly stranger, sit politely for petting, appearance and grooming, walk on a loose leash, walk through a crowd, Sit and Down on command/ Stay in place, coming when called, reaction to another dog, reaction to distractions, and supervised separation.

Master Skills  - Must be a graduate of Family Dog to take the following classes.


Most routines are preformed off leash; social and obedience skills required.


Advanced- Need a little more work before moving on or have been through classes before and need refreshed. This class reinforces the obedience skills learned in prior classes. In this class you will learn extra skills to earn a title in AKC Canine Community.

Class meets Monday @ 6pm.


Top Dog

This class is a mix of the owner who enjoys working with their dog to the fierce competitor. Polishing your skills and working towards titles in canine community, therapy work or obedience trials. 

Class meets Monday @ 7pm.

 

Rally-O- A fun and different way to practice obedience skills and earn titles with your purebred or mixed breed. 

Class meets Thurs @ 6pm.


AgilityIs a fun way to exercise your active dog or prepare you and your dog (purebred or mixed) for competition titles. 

The high physical demands of Agility require both owner and dog be in good health.

Class meets Thurs at 7:30pm.
